This blog contains articles written based on my experiences in technical areas, including developing software and web sites, useful software and Internet services, building and managing computer systems and networks, home theater and home automation, etc. Occasionally I will have a guest post from someone I have worked with.
Yeah, but who are you?
I’m a software developer by trade and love to tinker, design, and build. I work for Tableau Software developing mobile software, mostly in Swift for iOS but also in Java for Android and Xamarin for both platforms. Previously I worked for INRIX developing iOS software (INRIX Traffic). Before that I worked for Microsoft for almost 13 years as a developer and dev lead (Exchange Server 4.0, Windows Server Clusters (Wolfpack), Windows Connect (cell phone sync), and Windows Client on Vista (Sync Center)).
I built a home theater PC and I’m using Beyond TV from SnapStream Media for TV recording with a pair of HDHomeRun tuners from Silicon Dust. I enjoy collecting Blu-ray discs.
I’m an evangelical Christian and am very involved in my church in both music (guitar, vocals, choir) and theatre. I lead an acoustic rock worship band (Catalyst Worship Band) and we go into jails, prisons, and youth dentention centers on a periodic basis with Prisoners For Christ. My wife and I founded Catalyst Theatre Company, a theatre company that produces theatre productions for our church (Cedar Park Church) as well as touring to area churches and prisons. I have a separate blog to discuss personal matters and matters of faith, so go there if you’re interested.
My wife and I live in Bothell, WA on the outskirts of Seattle. We have 4 kids raining in ages from 18 to 28, two of which still live at home.
Thanks for reading!
